Bolingbrook is located approximately 30 miles southwest of Chicago. The village is accessible from I-55, I-355, and IL-53, with I-294 and I-88 less than 10 miles away. Bolingbrook offers more than 30 publicly operated parks. Enjoy Hidden Lakes Trout Farm consisting of four small lakes stocked with an array of fish, or the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex which has two indoor pools, water slides, hot tubs, volley ball courts, dance & gymnastic studios, & exercise equipment. The DuPage River Greenway runs along Bolingbrook's northern edge parallel to the East branch of the DuPage River for 2.5 miles. It's paved surface can be used for bicycling, hiking, running, cross country skiing & rollerblading. The Promenade Bolingbrook located at the intersection of I-355 & Boughton Rd provides over 1 million square feet of shopping, dining, & outdoor gathering places, includes Macys & Bass Pro Shops as well as 340,000 square feet of destination retail stores. Bolingbrook has two local public courses, the Bolingbrook Golf Club and Boughton Ridge Golf Course which was voted into the "Top Ten You Can Play" category by GOLF Magazine.

Darien

The community of Darien is located 18 miles west of Chicago & has retained its small town neighborhood feel. Many options are available to buyers from condominiums, to townhomes, to single family homes. The Park District offers 130 acres of parks & recreation facilities. The Darien Sportsplex provides swimming pools, indoor sports fields, ice skating rinks, a workout area, a convenient food court & a pro shop for area golfers. Downers Grove is located approximately 25 miles west of Chicago. The area provides many options for homebuyers include condominiums, townhomes & single family homes. Many of the homes especially in the downtown area are over 100 years of age. 1980 witnessed the last of the large scale housing developments in the area, although Downers Grove is experiencing one of the highest rates for teardowns with older, smaller homes being torndown and much larger upscale homes being constructed in their place.The blend of old and new homes provides a unique attractiveness. Summertime events include the Pierce Downers Heritage Days Festival in June, a Classic Car Show every Friday evening in Downtown Downers Grove, a Saturday morning Farmers Market from June to October, & an annual cycling event, the National Criterium Championships is hosted in August with racers & cyclists from all over the world. The Tivoli Movie Theater located in downtown Downers Grove opened in 1928 & was the second theater in the United States to accommodate movies with sound. Fishel Park hosts activities such as craft shows & concerts. The Park District offers more than 600 programs as well as child care. The Downers Grove Golf Club is noted as the site of the first 18-hole course in the United States built in 1892. Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is located in Downers Grove. It is a Level I trauma center serving the Chicago area.

Lisle

Village of Lisle
The Village of Lisle is located at Route 53 and Route 34. It is accessible from I-88 and I-355. Lisle also offers Pace Bus & Metra Rail Service for its residents. Every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm fresh cut flowers, freshly brewed coffee, plants, produce, freshly baked bread & pastries, colorful home furnishings, unique clothing, jewelry & one of a kind creations are available at the French Market from May through October. Visitors can learn or just enjoy nature at the 1700-acre Morton Arboretum. The nationally recognized museum of outdoor woody plants has a visitor's center, educational programs, restaurant, natural prairies, seasonal festivals, lively concerts, and an outdoor theatre. If golf is what you enjoy, Lisle Park District's River Bend Golf Club was rated one of the top three 9-home courses in the State of Illinois. The Lisle Station Park Museum features an 1880's Chicago, Burlington & Quincy caboose, an 1874 CB & Q depot that once served as Lisle's train station until 1978, an 1850's Greek revival home, an 1830's house that was once a tavern and toll house on the Southwest Plank Road, and a blacksmith shop. The annual Eyes to the Skies Festival held in July offers hot air balloon rides, carnival rides, food vendors, crafts, nationally known entertainment, & fireworks. More than 200,000 people attend this family-oriented event each year.

Naperville

Voted 2nd best place to live in 2006 by Money Magazine, Naperville has a lot to offer. The busy downtown area has plenty of shopping and restaurants. You can walk along the brick pathway on the Riverwalk along the DuPage River. Besides endless nature, the Riverwalk features an amphitheater, covered bridges, an Eatery, paddleboat rides, & a large sled hill. Listen for the Millennium Carillon. It plays musical selections automatically at 11:00 am, 4:00 pm, & 7:00 pm daily. With its 72 bronze bells ranging in weight from ten pound to six tons, the tower is ranked among the four largest carillons in the world. Or enjoy Centennial Beach; it's a great way to cool off on a hot summer day. The beach features water depths for swimmers of all ages. The large sand beach is perfect for sandcastle building. Take the children to the DuPage Children's Museum which provides open-ended learning experiences for children in a hands-on and fun atmosphere on exhibits and programs. For a bit of history, visit a museum village of 19th century homes, shops & public buildings that exhibit a collection of historical facts & furnishings at the Naper Settlement. Costumed villages work, play, and tell how it was in the early days of Naperville as it changed from a frontier outpost to a bustling turn-of-the-century community from 1831 to 1990. The annual Ribfest is held during the end around the Independence Day Holiday in Knoch Park. Ribbers from across the nation including other food vendors are featured. Musical entertainment features a variety of music acts.

Plainfield

Plainfield in located 35 miles southwest of Chicago and is accessible by I-55 (2 miles south) and I-80 (7 miles south), and highways 59 and 129, & US Route 30. The Plainfield Park District owns 900 acres of park and provides more than 200 programs each year for all age groups. The Links at Carillon is a semi-private daily fee golf course featuring a championship 18-hole layout & a regulation 9-hole course. There is also a pro shop, restaurant and banquet facility. Historic downtown Plainfield with its quaint shops and restaurants is becoming quite a destination in its own right. Shop for antiques, collectibles, fine art, fashion, and florals. In nearby Joliet, baseball lovers can enjoy minor league baseball at Silver Cross Field. The ballpark provides a tented picnic area and a children’s playground.
